There is no visual difference between male and female King Airs.  Gender plays no part in dominance, a male or female could be the alpha.  Males and females are equally as strong and as aggressive.   King Airs breed in the spring.  During the breeding season the pack stays in one area the entire time.  They are able to breed once they are at least eight years old and they breed once every three years.  Courtship begins in late winter, usually toward the end of February.  Female King Airs will carefully inspect the males to make sure they are fit enough to father their chic
